let’s not be like this

Jeremiah 6:16

Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways,
and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way,
and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
But they said, We will not walk therein.

  1. That, sadly, is the mindset of so many today. Throughout Jeremiah is the declaration that God sent His prophets early and often to warn the people of the coming disaster because of their worship of false gods among many other flagrant sins. The pathos there is overwhelming, when we see the heart of the Father in regards to His erring children. This is summed up in Ezekiel 18:

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dies, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye. Ezekiel 18:30-32

11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Thank you for spending time in fellowship here, Eliza! And indeed our fellowship is with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ!
